Christmas Festival

24 Nov 2023

Christmas Festival for the local young people in the build up to Christmas on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th December 2023 from 3 - 5 pm.

Come along to the Church Hall after the end of the school day for a hot chocolate or juice and biscuits and some fun activities (no booking required and admission is free but small donations are welcome if you wish):

  • Take part in the 'Christmas Window Twelve Days of Christmas Quiz' in the Church which will be decorated ready for Christmas.
  • Make a small lantern, with a battery tea light, which you can collect and take home aftr the annual Candlelight Carol Concert*

*The Carol Concert will take place on Wednesday 20th December at 6.30 pm.  On the evening of the concert, children who have made a lantern are asked to collect their lanterns from the Church Hall at 6pm and then go into the Church and sit down with their families before the service starts.  Once the service begins, the children will be invited to bring their lanterns out to the front to mark the start of the candle light service.  After that they will return to their seats to enjoy the rest of the concert which will include performances from other groups and organisations.

For young people who are not able to make it to the Candlelight Service we shall try to return your lantern to you before Christmas but the more that can come to the service, the better!

We are hoping to have lots of your favourite carols and other performances including a soloist, NYCOS (National Youth Choir of Scotland) and a short nativity by some younger members.

There will be refreshments available in the Church Hall after the Candlelight Carol Concert and donations will be welcome for action for Children.

We hope you can come along.
